Caspian Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 March 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Caspian application, website, and related services (the "Services").
The Services are provided by Double AI Limited, trading as Caspian ("Caspian", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
1. The Caspian service
Caspian is a financial data aggregation and analytics platform designed to help users organise, analyse and understand their financial information.
The Services may include:
- aggregation of financial data from bank accounts and other financial sources
- display of balances, transactions and financial summaries
- transaction enrichment such as merchant recognition and categorisation
- detection of recurring payments and financial patterns
- analytics, insights and financial summaries
- AI-powered tools that allow users to ask questions and receive automated responses
- shared household financial views where multiple users can collaborate
Caspian itself does not provide regulated payment services. All Open Banking account information access is provided through Finexer Ltd.
Caspian provides Account Information Services as an agent of Finexer Ltd, which is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN 925695) to provide account information services.
Caspian provides informational tools only.
Caspian does not:
- provide financial advice
- provide investment advice
- provide tax, accounting or legal advice
- recommend financial decisions
- execute payments or move funds
- act as a broker, financial adviser or fiduciary
Any insights or outputs generated by the Services are provided for informational purposes only.
The Services are under continuous development and may evolve over time. Features, functionality and integrations may be added, modified or removed at any time.
2. Eligibility
To use the Services you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3. Connecting financial accounts
You may connect financial accounts through Open Banking infrastructure provided by Finexer Ltd, which is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN 925695) to provide account information services.
You may also connect or provide data through other integrations or sources made available within the Services, which may include third-party platforms, APIs, manual inputs, or other data connections.
When you connect an account:
- authentication occurs through the relevant bank or provider
- Caspian receives financial data that you authorise to be shared
- Caspian does not receive your banking login credentials
Data obtained through connected accounts may include balances, transactions and related account information.
Availability of connections depends on third-party providers and financial institutions and may change at any time.
Caspian is not responsible for the accuracy, availability or timeliness of data provided by financial institutions or third-party providers.
Financial information displayed within the Services is provided for informational purposes only. Users should verify any financial information directly with their financial institution before relying on it.
4. Transaction enrichment and third-party services
Caspian may use third-party services to enrich financial transaction data.
This includes the use of Ntropy, which provides machine-learning based transaction enrichment and recurring payment detection services.
Relevant transaction information may be transmitted to Ntropy through secure API connections and may be processed within Ntropy's systems in order to provide categorisation, merchant recognition and pattern detection.
Caspian does not control the internal models used by such providers and cannot guarantee the accuracy of enriched data.
5. AI features and contextual memory
Some features of the Services use machine learning systems and AI tools.
These systems may:
- analyse financial data
- detect patterns in transaction history
- generate insights or summaries
- respond to user questions
- combine contextual information provided by users
Information that you provide through conversations, prompts, notes, or other interactions may be stored as contextual memory in order to improve the relevance and continuity of AI responses.
AI-generated outputs are automated and may rely on probabilistic models or statistical inference. As a result, outputs may be incomplete, inferred, inaccurate or out of date.
You must independently verify any information generated by AI features before relying on it.
6. Shared household environments
The Services may allow users to create shared household environments where multiple individuals participate in a shared financial view.
Within a household environment:
- each participant may connect their own financial accounts
- financial information connected by participants may be visible to other members
- contextual information shared within the household environment may influence system outputs visible to other members
AI systems may analyse financial and contextual data from multiple household participants to generate household-level insights.
Because contextual memory may be shared within a household environment, information provided by one participant may influence responses or insights shown to other participants.
You should only invite individuals you trust to participate in a shared household environment.
7. User responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- provide accurate information when using the Services
- maintain the security of your account
- review financial information independently before making decisions
- comply with applicable laws when using the Services
You must not:
- use the Services for unlawful purposes
- attempt to interfere with the operation of the platform
- attempt to access other users' data without authorisation
You are solely responsible for any information, content, or data that you submit to the Services and warrant that you have the necessary rights to provide such information.
8. Account termination
You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us at support@caspian.global.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including but not limited to:
- breach of these Terms
- suspected fraudulent or unlawful activity
- extended periods of inactivity
- any other reason at our sole discretion
Upon termination, your access to the Services will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the Services are owned by or licensed to Caspian.
You retain ownership of the data you submit to the platform.
By submitting information to the Services you grant Caspian a non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, analyse, enrich and display that information as necessary to operate and improve the Services, including the operation of AI systems and analytics.
10. Availability of the Services
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Caspian makes no warranties or representations, whether express or implied, regarding the Services, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the accuracy, reliability, completeness or timeliness of financial data, analytics, insights or AI-generated outputs.
We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Services at any time.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caspian shall not be liable for any:
- financial losses resulting from decisions made using the Services
- inaccuracies in financial data provided by banks, financial institutions or third-party providers
- errors in transaction categorisation, enrichment or merchant recognition
- incorrect or misleading AI-generated insights or automated outputs
- losses arising from outages, interruptions, delays or technical failures
- indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages
- loss of profit, revenue, savings, opportunity, data or goodwill
AI features provided by the Services may rely on probabilistic models, statistical inference and incomplete information. As a result, AI-generated outputs may contain errors, incorrect inferences or misleading conclusions (sometimes referred to as "hallucinations"). You acknowledge that such outputs are automated estimates only and must not be relied upon as factual or authoritative information.
Caspian is also not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, reliability or availability of any data supplied by third parties including:
- banks and financial institutions
- open banking infrastructure providers
- transaction enrichment providers such as Ntropy
- data analytics or infrastructure providers
Such providers operate independently of Caspian and may change, interrupt or restrict access to data at any time.
Subject to the above and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Caspian's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Services shall not exceed £100.
Your use of the Services is entirely at your own risk.
12. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with the Services you may contact us using the details provided in the application or on our website.
Where applicable you may have the right to escalate a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Where changes are material we will provide reasonable notice through the Services.
Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
